At the “Qualcomm China Partner Conference and Innovation Showcase” held on December 4, Frank Meng, President of Qualcomm Greater China, said the revenue generated by Qualcomm in Greater China surpassed US$2.3 billion, accounting for 23% of Qualcomm’s total revenues for this fiscal year. The conference, which was held by Qualcomm in collaboration with it 16 Chinese partners like Huawei and ZTE, aims to fully demonstrate the world’s cutting-edge products enabled by Qualcomm’s innovative technologies as well as the innovative achievements that Qualcomm’s China partners have made in wireless devices. According to Frank Meng, Qualcomm invested about 20% of its revenue into R&D of new technologies and new areas. In China’s 3G market, Qualcomm is dedicated to promoting the development of China’s innovation ecosystem. Currently, Qualcomm has more than 45 active partners in China, more than 50% of which were added after China entered the 3G era.
